Nothing ever happens, and I wonder.....

am aware of the fact that the next piece is going to sound spoiled, blasé, arrogant or whatever other negative word you can come up with, but…….it’s how it is.

The unthinkable has happened; I’m on a Caribbean island with white beaches, blue ocean, palm trees and anything else you can imagine on a bounty island but guess what: I’m bored. Honestly. I must say that I have decided not to stay here, which means I stopped looking for a job (I actually found one at a car rental place but decided not to take it). So, no more time lost on that. But what is there left to do? Sunbathing!! (Although there is overcast and rain most of the time this last week ) Okay, to be fair, there are still the caves to be discovered and the Christoffel National park but that’s about it. I took up scuba diving again today, and that lifted my spirit luckily, but finances won’t allow me to be doing that the next week and a half.

But hey, it must me my spoiled me, because Peter-Jan thinks completely different. He is enjoying it a lot (http://peterjan.waarbenjij.nu). He had a dogs life (shaking about a 1000 hands on the Christmas Showcase), had a night out with miss Venezuela, almost became a dolphin trainer, has a trial day tomorrow as a waiter at the Jan Thiel Livingstone resort (http://www.janthielresort.com/) and might start scuba diving pretty soon. His life is a beach! So, when I fly home on the 16th this month I will leave him behind for probably at least a few months.
